The James Beard Foundation’s Celebrity Chef Tour dinner series brings the experience of the James Beard House in New York City to major cities across the country. Every event begins with a cocktail reception followed by a multi-course dinner and dessert prepared by some of the country’s most outstanding chefs.Gullo Seafood is a proud sponsor of the James Beard Foundation, and Chef Michael Scelfo used our sushi-grade Spanish Tumbled Octopus to create his signature Beef Cheeks & Charred Octopus Brasato at the Hotel Emma in San Antonio on October 28th.
Recently, our very own Octoman was spotted at this year’s New Orleans Wine & Food Experience, serving up some delicious tenderized Gullo Octopus for event’s enthusiastic guests. The reaction was overwhelming, and we’re pleased to know that our products were so well received.Octoman cooked up a special dish for the guests in attendance: charred Gullo Octopus with smoked paprika, chili, olive oil, red wine vinegar, cauliflower puree, and chimichurri.Check out the video below and get a taste of the good life!
On May 2nd, Gullo Seafood along with numerous other top purveyors attended Baldor Specialty Foods’ Bite event. A social/networking event that promotes responsible sourcing and reckless snacking! Our very own Octoman was there, showing off our premium tenderized Octopus and dishing on all things octopus related. We had a great time and look forward to more of these special events!
Recently, our very own Octoman traveled to the windy city and joined some top chefs at the Field Museum to help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis awareness and treatment. Octoman cooked his chilled charred octopus w smoked pimento and chile over a white romesco.
